POEM: A STRONG WOMAN
She sits staring out the window,
More than just waiting for change.
Sans the hope of a loving saviour,
She sits loveless & poised at bay.
The sun light pierces through the trees,
It's leaves; casting many shadows.
Somewhere within them, she hides from the breeze.
Her wants are simple, her wants are needs.
She only wishes for a man, who will let her be.
He doesn't have to bring her stars,
She can get those herself.
He doesn't have to bring her stars,
She can get those herself.
Many have loved to protect her.
She wants only to be loved.
She needs no help,
She bathes in self efficiency.
Is there a man, who is man enough?
Who isn't afraid of, a girl with a dream.
Short haired, clean shaven...
Poets, preachers and musicians.
Aren't they all, much the same?
They will let you be the winner,
They will lie with little shame,
All is hunky-dory...
But you must, play their game.
