10 TIME MANAGEMENT TRICKS THAT WORK

This week I want to talk about something we all struggle with. Time.

Now whether you think you have no time to do things or feel like you have too much time and are wasting it.... You're right.

Some people are just better at using their time than we are. Now we can just sit and call those people lucky, talented and move on.

The interesting thing is, we are all great at managing time. In fact, you've grown up managing your time pretty well.

As a kid you had to finish your homework, pack your books, polish your shoes, sharpen your pencils and if everything went well you had enough time to play video games and watch cartoons.

So, if you want to manage your time better, I'm going to give you a list of things to try. They've helped me and I'm sure that some if not all of them will help you too.

Wake Up Early: There is no better way to bring discipline than making this a routine. I know it's not easy but try everyday, it may take you a week, a month or maybe even a year but, don't stop trying.

Take charge of your day: Don't reach for your phone first thing in the morning.
Get up, drink some water, take a deep breath and prepare a mental list of things you want to do that day. That way you start your day with a To-Do list.

Know When To Adapt: You've made enough plans in life to know how frustrating it can be when they don't work out. Don't let that happen, it's okay. You will never be able to do everything. Focus on what you can do and move on.

Set Reminders For Yourself: Don't just set them for work, set reminders for things that you really want to do. Whether it's a reminder to drink water, meet friends, a birthday, a wedding - set reminders for happy things.

Have Non Negotiables: There are some things that should be sacrosanct. Whether it's positive habits like writing, making music, working out or habits you want to kick like road rage, smoking, oversleeping. There should be some things you WILL do no matter what and some things you won't do because it's important to you.

Go One Thing At A Time: The number of times I've lost my mind because I can't do everything is insane. Don't do that to yourself. If you've checked off 3 out of ,4 things on your list - don't beat yourself up about the one thing you couldn't do.

Ask For Help: It's okay to ask for help. To ask for help and give help is one of the most human things to do. So if you can't do something, find someone who can.

Write Shit Down: If you don't write something down you probably won't do it. Everything I write on my notes stays there and haunts me till I get it done. So, if there's something that you can't do, just write it down and set a time for it.

Take A Break: Set aside a short break time. Use it to play games on your phone, to realign your plans or simply stare at plants. Waste some time every day because doing nothing is more important than you think it is. Oh and when this time ends... Get right back to work okay?

Have Fun or Relax: Working is not the only purpose of life. So do something fun or relaxing everyday. Do what you enjoy: Eat delicious food, play a game, get a massage. What I'm trying to say is, make sure you have time for yourself.

PS- Things won't work out everyday so don't stress about it. Call someone close and talk about your problems.
